Florida

We just returned from Florida on Friday. We had a great time with friends and family. The weather was beautiful and it helped to make it through this cold winter. We stayed with Ben's parents in Sarasota and then spent a day at Disney World on the way home. It is so fun to watch the kids experience new things and have the time of their lives.

The days consisted of going to the beach, eating lunch on the beach, talking about the beach, dreaming about the beach and then going to the pool to swim before crashing for a nap. We were able to spent a lot of time with our friends Ben and Kristy and their two boys. Kyler and Cade are the same age and they are two peas in a pod. What one doesn't think of the other does. They had a blast together to say the least. Cole and Macy (our two quieter ones) even started to hit it off and play together in a love/hate relationship type way.

Macy's expression here was priceless when she saw Cinderella in the Disney World parade. We discovered that she loves her princesses. Our kids were great travelers despite the 2400 mile trip. Yes, you heard right, we drove. The kids had a movie marathon with lots of snacks and trips to the back of the van where the portable toliet was kept. The van smelled like an outhouse at times, but it sure helped save time with all of their "I need to go potty" statements. Now it's back to the daily grind and the kids asking "when are we going to the beach?" I might have to make a trip to the pool at Five Points this week.
