We flew out of Peoria on March 11th at 9:30 am and arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia at 9:15 pm on the 12th. This picture is where the Mediterranean Sea met Africa.

We were excited to be back in Ethiopia and to finally get our son forever.
Sleep came fast that night, but with the jet lag, we were both up at 3am and couldn't sleep. The chanting of the orthodox church started at 3:30 and went all morning long. Since our first full day was Sunday and the transition office is closed on Sunday, we didn't get to see Isaiah. We had a full day to rest and recuperate. We went to church with two of the other people staying with us at Ethiopia Guest Home. We loved the experience! There were so many cultures at this church coming together to praise the same Savior - Jesus. It was a small taste of what Heaven will be like. At the end of the service, we ran into some missionaries that went to our church back home. We didn't even know they went there - small world. The afternoon was spent talking to children playing in the street, drinking coffee with some of our guest home staff and taking a nap. Here is a picture of our guest home.
We ate dinner at an Ethiopian restaurant and had injera with shiro.
The day passed quickly. Tomorrow morning, we go pick up Isaiah!!!
